We are committed to ensuring every client is seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey. We value personalized and evidenced based pharmacologic and therapeutic interventions to meet mutually identified goals.
Trauma informed care acknowledges that individuals are more likely to have experienced trauma than not. We recognize the role trauma can play in ones life, interpersonal relationships, mental health exacerbations, and the client-provider relationship. We seek to incorporate the principles of safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment into every appointment, interaction, and intervention.
We recognize the diversity of lived experiences and identities that impact client health outcomes, social determinants, and treatment goals. We are aware that implicit bias affects health equity, and we actively acknowledge and address this in our practice. We are committed to learning, and this includes welcoming feedback and understanding that the client is the expert in their own lives and experiences.
We strive to provide our clients with a safe and informed healthcare space. We are queer positive practice, where pronouns matter and every family structure is honored. We provide comprehensive and compassionate care, while striving to eradicate long-standing health disparities in the LGBTQIA+ community. We are committed to ongoing education, advocacy, and improving Q+ affirming policies and practices.
